Twilight Safari

This NEW evening program is designed for groups of 10-30 people - Children 8 years old and younger are allowed with adult supervision. This is ideal for large families, sports teams, scouts, and other small groups!

Twilight Safari's take place on Fridays or Saturdays, from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. - dependent on availability!

Twilight Safari Includes:

  • A night Wildlife Museum tour
  • A night Zoo tour
  • Hot dogs & s'mores to roast over a fire pit (weather dependent)
  • A movie

‍Program Cost: $20 Per Person

‍Animal Encounter Add-On (optional): $100
An Animal Encounter can be added on for an additional charge. Three available Ambassador Animals* will be presented during your event.

*Ambassador Animals will vary depending on availability.

Zoo Palooza

‍ Zoo Palooza is a program designed for groups of up to 20 people and is ideal for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, sports teams, classes and small groups. Children 7 years and younger are allowed with adult supervision.  

Time:  9 a.m. - 11 a.m. (to 12 p.m. if lunch is included) 

Program Cost: $100   

For admission to the Zoo and Wildlife Museum, ask about group pricing which is dependent upon number of participants.

Lunch available at additional cost of $7.50 per person.

Program Includes:

  • Your 30 minute program can be based on a specific area of the world, will include a conservation and zoo focus, and can be based on your educational needs. If you have a certain badge you want to achieve or area of interest, we can design your program accordingly.
  • A 30-minute Animal Meet & Greet with three of our animal ambassadors.
  • A 15-minute Keeper Chat or animal training session (depending upon availability).

Picnic Area Rental

Daytime Options:
The picnic area offers covered seating for about 200 guests on a first-come, first-served basis. It is equipped with restrooms, soft drink vending machines, and small playground for young children. You are welcome to stake out a picnic shelter area for your group, however the shelter is still open to the general public until 5:00 p.m.

Evening Options:
For a truly private event, the Picnic Area is available to rent ($250) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Your guests may visit the Zoo and Wildlife Museum during the day, until closing at 5:00 p.m., then gather at the Picnic Area for your event!

No grills are allowed.

EDUCATIONAL ADD-ONS

For more fun, you can add an Interactive Ambassador Animal Encounter to any of your Group Visits. During this encounter an Education Team member will visit your party with 3 of our Ambassador Animals*, and you and your guests can get up close to learn more about these amazing animals.

3 animals – 45 minutes - $100

*Ambassador Animals will vary depending on theme and availability. We thank you for your understanding.

School Groups

Come out and enjoy the zoo with your class or students.
RHZ offers discounted admission rates to public & private home schooled, and licensed daycare providers.
$7.50 per Student (paid for by school)
$7.50 per Chaperone (1 per 10 Students - paid for by school)
$13.50 per Extra Chaperones (paid for by school)

Regular admission will apply to any additional adults/family members that come to enjoy the Zoo during your field trip:
Adults - $15
Seniors (65+) - $14
Children (3-12) - $9
Children 2 & Younger - FREE
