As the summer season approaches, we're thrilled to announce a lineup of exciting experiences promised to captivate and inspire visitors of all ages. From up-close encounters with majestic creatures to insightful Keeper Chats, there's something for everyone.
Keeper Chats
Explore the world of wildlife with our Keeper Chats, set to begin Memorial Day Weekend, and held every weekend through the summer season.
Our dedicated RHZ animal care staff will share insights into the lives and behaviors of our animal residents. Periodically you may also encounter special enrichment and health care trainings during our Keeper Chats. This includes our African lion’s health care training, scheduled periodically throughout the summer at the training window in the Pride of the Prairie cave. It's an educational experience you won't want to miss!
Animal Feeding Encounters
Ever dream of feeding a towering giraffe or a curious camel? Now's your chance!
Get up close and personal with our friendly ostriches, giraffes, camels, Highland cows, and Aldabra tortoises as you witness their unique feeding behaviors. Our Animal Feeding Encounters will take place at the featured animal's habitat at 11 a.m. every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
It's a hands-on experience that promises to create cherished memories for the whole family!

Animal Meet & Greets
Meet some of our most charismatic critters - our Animal Ambassadors!
Twice daily on weekends, starting Memorial Day Weekend, you'll have the opportunity to get acquainted with a variety of animals. From our adorable armadillo to our handsome iguana, each meet-&-greet session offers a chance to learn more about these incredible animals, the important role they play in the wild, and the importance of wildlife conservation.
Trams Running Daily
Sit back, relax, and let our trams whisk you away on a leisurely tour of the Rolling Hills Zoo's picturesque landscapes.
After Memorial Day Weekend, our trams will be running daily, providing convenient transportation for Zoo guests. Whether you're admiring the graceful movements of our giraffes or marveling at the playful antics of our primates, the tram ride promises to be an engaging journey through the zoo.
Tram Bands are $5 per person. Your Tram Band allows you to get on or off at any of our Tram Stations for the duration of your RHZ adventure.
